Female, one year of experience at QREAZY

Work ContentI handle various different types of work, including the full range of tasks for 3D CG as well as serving as a contact point for outsourcers depending on what the situation calls for at the time.

Workplace AtmosphereTime has been set aside once a week where everyone at the company cleans up the office, so the company is extremely clean and tidy.
You can concentrate quietly while you’re working, but there are also times when everyone will make their favorite tea, eat snacks, and have a good time. So I feel like there’s a lot of variety in the environment.
Plus there are a lot of people with unique personalities, which makes for a fun atmosphere.

Memorable IncidentsI think it happened to everyone, but once when I was previously involved in producing a promotional trailer for a video game it made me really happy to see comments online about the impact it had after it went public.

Rewarding AspectsWhenever I finish making something great or get the feeling that I’ve grown personally then it naturally makes me really happy.

Difficult AspectsThere is more than one way to do something.
There are quite a few instances where I’ll perform a task resembling stuff I’ve done before using the same approach and it won't turn out well.
It can be difficult to go through a process of trial and error for different approaches given limited time.

Advice for Future EmployeesThis applies to myself as well, but I think it’s important to keep your eyes and ears open for all sorts of information.
Viewing interesting things, whether they be footage or anything else, naturally boosts your motivation and can offer ideas at critical moments. So my advice would be for everyone to work together to create a fun environment where this sort of information is shared!

Female, one year of experience at QREAZY

Work ContentAs a designer I mainly handle 2D and 3D design, but this changes depending on the project at the time.

Workplace AtmosphereI feel like the company abounds with various different possibilities.
The people at the workplace are easy to get along with, cheerful, and extremely interesting! Everyone has a great time during company functions and so forth, but when it comes time to work everyone soundly buckles down, which I find to be a good balance.
Every Friday the entire company carries out cleaning so that we can always work comfortably in a clean and well-ordered space.

Memorable IncidentsThe first time the company involved me in the pattern design and font production work for a game machine-related job I realized just how important it is to boost “visibility” without compromising the atmosphere of the theme chosen.
This is one instance that was a true learning experience when it came to understanding design.

Rewarding AspectsI’ve loved video games since back in the day, which made me want to get a job doing CG and drawing pictures.
Since I spend every day taking on a host of new challenges (depending on the project), I feel like I’m growing along with the company and get the sense that what I do is worthwhile.

Difficult AspectsThe weeks prior to submitting a project are hard.
I will fine-tune a work through to the very end and can't let up until it has been delivered.
When I came to work for QREAZY I became aware of how strict the professional world is—which is something that I had never experienced in my student days—and this left me with a strong desire to further devote myself to my work.
I feel like I’m only just getting started.

Advice for Future EmployeesA designer’s job is not just to draw pictures.
Rather, I feel that designers must also be able to serve as an asset when it comes to doing work on multiple different levels.
Experience and knowledge are important points when it comes to design.
Naturally you’ll have to draw tons of pictures, but you should also value time spent on other things as well.

Male, a little more than six months experience at QREAZY

Work ContentAs a generalist, I handle 2D and 3D work on the whole.

Workplace AtmosphereThose times when time is flowing along while you work calmly and easily are all well and good, but sometimes you need that sense of tension you get when it's crunch time and things are down to the wire.
I get relieved the instant when the office suddenly gets bustling.

Memorable IncidentsThere are lots of different ways to approach the same process. I've encountered truly unexpected ways of doing things you've never learned in your student days.

Rewarding AspectsI've used tools I've never laid hands on before and had to grapple with processes that I'm not good at, and have even become keenly aware of the limitations in my own knowledge and skills.
Yet the more you do things that you're not good at the more you begin to gradually overcome them, which gives you a real feel for the fact that you're slowly making progress.

Difficult AspectsWorking while staying aware of the schedule.
I had time constraints with assignments and so forth when I was a student, but now I'm experiencing long-term schedule management that is a whole new level of difficulty over and above my student days.

Advice for Future EmployeesIt is important to actively seek out challenges with things you've never seen or come into contact with before.
It is quite difficult to take up these challenges only after you've started a job.
I feel that the more knowledge and skills you've acquired the more successful you can be in a work setting.
